Working with DMRC for better service of Metro & Airport Metro

Dwarka Forum is instrumental and played a very important role in bringing down the Airport Express Metro Fares. DF had rounds of meeting with DMRC and had written to various authorities. The efforts brought results now.

Dwarka Forum has given numerous suggestions to DMRC to popularize Airport Express Metro and to increase the ridership.   DF is happy to state that lots of their suggestion has been accepted and more are in the pipeline and are in the being accepted, latest being Interchange facility at Sector 21 at the platform level between normal DMRC and Airport Express stations.

Solar plant at Delhi Metro station (BS)

Another initiative taken by Dwarka Forum way back in 2007 getting implemented Solar plant at Delhi Metro station (BS) In a bid to cut down power cost, Delhi Metro said Sunday it will soon install a rooftop solar power plant at the Dwarka Sector 21 station. “The plant is expected to start production within six months. The power produced from this plant will be used to cater to the power requirements of Delhi Metro at this station,” a statement said. A Power Purchase Agreement was signed between DMRC and the developer, a multinational firm engaged in the installation and production of solar power worldwide, the statement said. “DMRC will explore the possibility of installing more such plants at its stations, depots, parking lots as well as residential complexes.” With a production capacity of 500 kWp (kilowatt peak), the plant is touted to be the first rooftop plant with such capacity in the Delhi-NCR region
