Mrs Sheila Dixit,
Hon’ble Chief Minister,
Government of NCT
of Delhi
Respected Madam,
Greetings from Dwarka Forum.
We are thankful to you for giving opportunity to meet you to
discuss and submit a memorandum on issues related to Dwarka. We want to
highlight some of the issues which are extremely important for all of us and
expect your intervention.
1.Water Crisis
As you are well aware
that the Dwarka Sub city is one of the most important parts of South West
District and with over 6 Lakh Population. The drinking water that your
govt(i.e) DJB is supplying is mere 3.5 MGD (Approx 13.1
MLD) through DDA. While the NDMC area DJB supply 123. MLD.
We have the complete and
authentic information from DJB the
volume of water supplied to various parts of Delhi through RTI. Which revealed
in terms of population Dwarka is treated very badly by DJB. The excuse of Munak
Canal had enough, as we know it not going to materialize in near future. This
is also very frustrating that despite full payment to Haryana Govt on Munak
Canal and assurance from Honble Prime Minister nothing is coming up for
Dwarkites. Delhi govt charge huge amount on Circle Rates and other revenue
collection, even property tax is higher collection from Dwarka in addition to
Personal tax etc.
We would once again
appeal you as CM of CNT Delhi and Chairman of DJB to increase the water supply
of Dwarka by 15 MGD immediately.
Hospital
Your good office is well aware that there is
NOT a SINGLE Hospital in Dwarka Sub-City which is Proud Project of DDA even
today after 15 years passed and with over 6 Lakh Population. Due to lack of
hospital the GOLDEN HOURS are wasted by citizen when faces sudden crisis. This is a serious issue and
needs your immediate attention. We have been following up for so long and as
per the information the revised project has been approved by the DDA and this
can be started now.
We request to give instruction to concerned
agencies/Ministries to start the project.
Unification
You will appreciate that Dwarka project was a
dream project of our late prime minister Shri Rajeev Gandhi and it is known in
almost all part of the world but when it comes to the representation in state
legislative and parliament is concerned it has no identity. You will be
surprised to know that Dwarka contstituency in Delhi legislative assembly has
not even a single sector of Dwarka and presentely it has been divided into
three legislative assemblies and two parliamentary constituency. We want to draw
your attention on this issue and want assurance from Delhi Government that due
consideration n and will be given at the
time of Delimitation and Matiala Constituency which has most of the area of
Dwarka may be named as dwarka immediately.
Entry Exit Point
It is a big concern
for all of us.Around 6 lakhs people are residing
with limited entry exit through palam fly over which is almost
zam packed during peak hour.Another entry through Dabri and Dwarka Mor
are terrible. Considering the fact that Dwarka situated in quake pro zone and
on top list of Terrorist(Baz of linked with International airport and
metro) for God sake something wrong happens with Dwarka one can imagine
the disaster. We solicit immediate attention of Chief Minister to look into
the matter on priority.
Implementation of various project by
DDA
Madam,in Dwarka there is lots of project which was supposed
to be implemented by DDA but it appears that due to callous approach of its
officials these have either been delayed or not being planed.Your attention is
drawn on this issue because delay in implementation is not only causing
difficulties to residents but becoming a law and order issue.Un authorized
shops, markets, encroachment are some of the examples which can be curved with
implementation of these projects like development of community centers, local
shopping complex etc.
Finally,on behalf of residents of dwarka once again
request to give appropriate instruction
to appropriate authority to give a close look on the issues flagged above and
oblised us.
With kind regards
For and on behalf of Dwarka Forum(Regd.)
Sushil Kumar
